It really is less expensive to do it yourself!!!!

I really wanted the Unity Candles for my wedding to match the theme...which is, of course, a Woodland Elf theme.  Unique.  And, of course, nowhere can you buy anything to match that theme!
Amy Ketner, my Wedding Coordinator, and I decided that we'll have to make most of the ceremony decor ourselves.
Here's the Unity Candles I made today...
I started with some Dollar Tree candles...$3.00
Some river pebbles from Lowes, in a glass tube, also from Dollar Tree $1.00
 Candlesticks...$2.00

I found a picture I like for the center...
(actually, it was only for the picture :) :) :))

California!!

Dad and I got to go to California during spring break to have a bunionectomy done on my left foot.  We flew there Sunday, 3-13-11, and came home the following Friday, 3-18-11.
Here's some highlights...
Dad checking our luggage at the Greenville-Spartanburg airport

I LOVE airports!!! People are funny :)

This is for Steve...inside joke, but the poster was funny

I got the window seat three out of four flights

   We love flying!

Dad and I stayed at Laguna Beach Inn
There were flowers everywhere!!
Our room looked out over the sundeck
The view. I like the tile roofs in CA.
My own personal store in downtown Laguna Beach :)
Dad and I walked a mile and a half Sunday night to eat supper at a Coca~Cola diner
On Monday we went on a dolphin/whale safari
The Manute'a...there were about 40 people on the tour
We saw pelicans and California sea lions on the way out of the harbor

Dad and I were at the front of the boat for over an hour...It was windy!!!

A boat trolling for sharks
We saw three blue whales on migration...here's the tail of one
The boat was right in the middle of a pod of common dolphins
+500 of them!!

The dolphin safari was the best part of the trip!!

Our hotel was directly across from the ocean!!  I had fun exploring Monday, and Tuesday before the surgery

The rocks were interesting
Monday night we ate supper, then walked on the beach til sunset
 I love you, Steve!!
Sooooo handsome :) He took really good care of me

My First Post!!!!

For Gooberhead

They met in May, I do believe
My sister and this guy named Steve
It's not been very widely spread
That I often call him Gooberhead

My chaping days will soon be done
My sister's heart this guy has won
On August the 13th they'll wed
My sister and this gooberhead

She's got some time to pack and plan
She'll soon be off to join her man
He is a nut I've heard it said
That crazy, Bryan gooberhead

We'll all be sad to see her go
They will be happy, this I know
Down to Florida he has led
My sister's loving gooberhead

I hope to often visit there
My faithful camera I will bear
Many stories I will spread
Of my sister and her gooberhead

A happy household they will start
I pray they never have to part
I hope you often hear it said
My sister loves that gooberhead
